A full-bodied black tea with mellowing aromas of malt and caramelized sugar. The leaves, which are picked in early spring, bear an abundance of beautiful golden buds; made from the Yunnan larger leaf variety of the tea trees. The gentle twisted shapes release aromas of exotic wood, blond tobacco and scorched earth.
Use 1 to 2 teaspoon(s) of tea per cup. Add filtered water at 85ºC to 95ºC, and allow to steep for 2 to 3 minutes. Strain the tea and serve.
The tea is grown in the high mountains located in Fengqing County, Western Yunnan Province, China. The region is renowned to produce black teas that have a full-bodied, thick and mellow aroma with a sweet and aromatic aftertaste.
